Android Applications Review
MyXbox LIVE
A disappointing companion app for your Xbox
One of the big pushes at the recent E3 convention, led by Microsoft, has been multiscreen gaming, with our tablet or phone acting as an extra part of the gaming experience. It's certainly an interesting idea, but as far as we're concerned it's a long way off just yet, and anyone expecting anything of that sort with the Android Xbox Live app is going to be disappointed. This is just a way to read and reply to messages, catch up on Xbox news, and dress your Avatar up in clothes you've already bought. That’s a long way off even the functionality of the iOS version, which at least lets you control your Xbox's media content from the peripheral device itself. Unless you're desperate to play digital dress-up on the go, or need to stay in contact with the gamer scores of your online friends all the time, this isn't worth downloading.

Million Moments
Create photo albums on your phone
Million Moments is a quick and easy way to create ongoing photo albums. Using a clever tag system, you can organise your pictures into different albums, making sure images about the same subject are grouped together. You can also add notes and share them easily with a few taps. It looks lovely, and it's certainly better than most of the standard gallery apps that Android devices ship with, but the Ul could be a little more user-friendly.

Hovernote
Leave notes without leaving the app you're on
Hovernote lets you open its smaller windows over the top of other apps to jot something down quickly. If the app is running, you can bring down the notifications bar and bring up a blank note without having to leave whatever it is you're doing, even leaving notes hovering over work you're doing in a word processing app. This is such a brilliant, simple idea that it's a wonder hasn't been thought of before. Perfect for anyone who forgets things they have to say in emails, texts, or their work.
